A Grand Piano for a Grand Staircase: Delivery Day Done Right
Share
Some homes have a room built for a piano. This one had a staircase built for one.
When we first saw photos of the entrance hall, sweeping marble floors, a wrought-iron staircase curling up through the middle of the house, we understood immediately why our customer wanted a piano placed exactly there, at the foot of the stairs, the first thing anyone sees when they walk through the door.
Getting it there was another matter entirely.
A baby grand does not simply walk through a front door. Ours arrived carefully wrapped, strapped and padded, wheeled in on a piano skate by our delivery team, and guided step by step around a curved staircase that left very little room for error. It takes patience, proper equipment, and a team who has done this more times than they can count. Watching it happen is genuinely nerve-wracking even for us, and we do this for a living.

Once it was finally unwrapped and settled into place, the transformation was immediate. The Prestige Self-Playing Baby Grand Piano's high-gloss black cabinet against the white marble and wrought iron looked less like a delivery and more like the room had been designed around it all along, which, in a way, it had.

Our customer got in touch a few days later, and what they told us is the reason we do this job:
"I have wanted a grand piano in that hallway since the day we moved in, but I was terrified about how on earth anyone would get it round that staircase. Your team made it look easy, which I know it absolutely was not. They were careful, patient, and clearly took real pride in getting it right. Now it's the first thing our guests see and the first thing they talk about. It has completely changed how the whole entrance feels. Worth every penny and every minute of the wait."
That is the part of this job nobody sees in a product photo. Not just the piano itself, but the care taken to get something this size, this heavy, and this precious into exactly the spot someone has been picturing for months, sometimes years, without a single scratch on the walls, the floors, or the piano.
The piano delivered was our Prestige Self-Playing Baby Grand Piano, finished in high-gloss black, with the self-playing system built in from day one. No pianist required, just a piece of music selected and a room that now performs on cue.
If you have a space at home that has been waiting for a piano, staircase and all, we would love to help you get it there.
